The English town of Carnforth is a civil parish situated in the north of Lancashire. Lancashire lies in the north west of England and is sometimes referred as the County of Lancaster. The town itself is not much populated, a recent census showed its population just above five thousand. Carnforth is located at the north east side of Morecambe Bay which makes it quite attractive place to spend some quality time.
One of the well known attractions of the town is Leighton Hall. The Hall once was home to the Gillow family and now remains open throughout the year for tourists. The nearby park makes the whole ambiance of the place truly spectacular and the building has been awarded several time for its lively atmosphere. Local guides are available and give a detailed description of the building and associated monuments. The interior of the Leighton Hall consists of one of the finest historical furniture, paintings and art works.
Docker Park Farm is another place to be if you are visiting Carnforth. This place is full of charming animals including pigs, rabbits, cows, horses and goats. You can even get very close to the animals and can even feed them with their proper feed available on the farm. There are plenty of activities that visitors can indulge in, take for example that you can take a tractor ride or can enjoy the company of the birds.
