Located as the middle point on the Swindon rail station, Swindon Wiltshire has been on the map for a long time. First noted in the Doomsday Book as Suidune, Swindon started off as a small barter town. After the industrial revolution brought the railroad through this sleepy town, it grew into a busy stop on the road from London to Bristol.
