A relatively young town, Milton Keynes was founded as Milton Keynes in 1967. Comprised of several overspill housing, the town has history that leads it back to the Bronze age, even if it wasn't officially considered a city until the mid to late twentieth century.
Milton Keynes is known for having lots of outdoor activities for those that enjoy the great outdoors. With water sports, wakeboarding, and football is something anyone can enjoy. Milton Keynes has a "country" feel to the city. The city was built to be environmentally friendly. This area has more trees than people but in its heart it's still the city. There is over four thousand acres of parks, woods, lakes and rivers to give visitors a nice place to go and relax. It's a great way for you to take in all the beauty of the area and relax while you stroll the area.
There are also many theatres, churches, museums and homes for visitors to view. The town is an oasis of culture and history with its roots in the Bronze Age. With all the abbeys and galleries there is no shortage of culture for you to enjoy while you visit this cosmopolitan city.
