Known as the official gateway to the North York Moors National Park, Pickering is located between York and Scarborough. For those who are interested in theatre, the Kirk Theatre is the place to go. Housed in a converted Methodist Chapel the Kirk Theatre is home of the Pickering Musical Society. At various times throughout the year the musical society gives performances. Visitors can enjoy a musical evening.

It passes through the North York Moors national Park, wooded valley and into the clad moorland.
